BACP Counselling Supervision

I am a Person Centred and Integrative Supervisor.

The BACP Ethical Framework specifies:  “There is a general obligation for all counsellors, psychotherapists, supervisors and trainers to receive supervision/consultative support independently of any managerial relationships”.

I am passionate about helping others and  offer BACP Counselling Supervision to counsellors and student counsellors in Urmston and central Manchester.

Having qualified as a counsellor in 2006, I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge over the years which I am willing to pass on to others. Having completed a one year course Diploma in Counselling Supervision endorsed by The BACP I now offer person centred supervision to counsellors and student counsellors.

My supervision sessions are offered within the following framework:

– Maintain an open supervisory relationship. – Be open to exploration and discussion.
– Monitor safeguarding and ethical issues. – Make the best use of the time available.

– Exploration and growth of supervisee work. – Apply learning to your work.
– To ensure accountability of supervisee. – Feel empowered as a counsellor.
– Give feedback and challenge approaches. – Follow your code of ethics.
– Take supervisory notes and keep securely. – Work in the best interests of your clients.
– Practise in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework. – Be punctual to supervision.
– Continue to provide practise insurance. – Have practise indemnity insurance.
– To keep myself safe as a practitioner. – To keep yourself safe as a practitioner.
